Our client is
searching for an IT Team Leader who will report to the Systems Manager
and perform the following tasks:
• To perform the day-to-day IT operational activities.
• To ensure the service levels and business operational needs are met 24
x 7, 365 days of the year
• To co-ordinate service desk activities out of hours.
• To provide remote hands support for the data center requirements
(backup’s media rotation, physical HW installation, contractor’s
accompaniment)
• To ensure the physical and logical security the office premises
Principal accountabilities
IT delivery, quality and availability
• Hardware and software installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and
inventory management.
• Managing office servers and services (printers, scanners, file
servers, shredders)
• Managing the office internal network and firewalls (Data and voice).
• Providing support for all the IT services to the office clients
locally and remotely.
• Managing it stock (toner, drum kits, keyboards, mouse, monitors,
memory kits)
• Telephony operations such as installing/replacing telephones and
Blackberry and Video conferencing facilities.
• Liaising with 3rd parties where necessary.
• Escalation and liaison with incident teams when required.
• Following ITIL process for service desk duties out of hours.
• Introduction of new a ticketing process for calls,
• Establish workable and reasonable turnaround times and manage
expectations
• Managing the procurement of IT equipment and dealing with customs
• Managing a 3 person shift pattern to ensure cover between 8am and 7pm
and to cover evening shift as and when required
Qualifications, skills & experience
Essential:
• At least 3 years experience in Windows
• At least 3 years of apple MAC SysAdmin including apple servers
• Have a MCSE certificate (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)
• Knowledge of PC O/S and builds winXP /Vista /2003/2008
• Knowledge of PC parts installations (boards, memory chips, PCI cards)
• Knowledge of backup and restore techniques and technology
• At least 2 years experience with active/passive network equipment
• Ideally 1 years in a UNIX environment
• A practical 1-2 years Juniper firewalls experience
• Working knowledge of ITIL processes
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team, and ability to manage own
workload
• Willing to travel abroad to the UK, IL and/or any other place as
required.
