Our client is searching for a Senior Test Analyst to ensure adequate testing is performed on the rapid development of software and configuration changes within the work stream. Working within a designated project team you will be required to certify that a sufficient level of test coverage has been reached prior to delivery of code into the production environment. Using an iterative approach they will incorporate agile testing techniques to demonstrate a satisfactory level of quality has been achieved.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Work with the project manager to plan all testing activities required for new functionality.
• Identify an agile based testing approach to support the speedy delivery of developed code into the live environment.
• Plan and execute the testing required to demonstrate a correct level of quality has been achieved on newly developed functionality.
• Work with the business and project team to identify and create test data in advance of each release cycle.
• Identify and execute adequate regression test suites (both manual and automated), to ensure current functionality is not adversely affected by new changes.
• Identify areas of functionality suited for automated testing to aid in regression testing activities.
• Perform impact assessment on proposed changes to ensure that all dependencies, issues and risk have been correctly identified and are proactively monitored and managed.
• Work with the project team to identify and facilitate the delivery of test environment requirements,
• Support the creation, implementation and ongoing improvement of the software delivery approach.
• Work with other testing teams as necessary to understand interdependencies with other project work streams and their impacts.
• Provide management and support to members of the test team in understanding changing technology for improved test case development.
• Ensure the testing principles and processes are consistently followed.
• Participate in analysis and design meetings to gather relevant information for test design purposes.
• Escalate as necessary any causes for concern that may impact the quality of the end product.
• Provide test results with supporting data to facilitate go live decision making.
• Develop close relationships with key analysts and business users to develop a test approach from a user perspective, including the co-ordination of UAT activities.
• Actively promote testing activities across the project team and relevant business functions.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Subject Matter Expert within the Test Arena.
• Working knowledge of web based applications and their integration.
• Strong working knowledge of Quality Center or equivalent.
• Previous experience of automated testing tools and concepts.
• Working knowledge of Agile Test Techniques.
• Creativity by taking innovative approaches to problem solving and devising inventive and creative solutions.
• Proven experience of the ability to communicate with business and technical personnel.
• Working knowledge of Requirements Driven Development.
• Experience with establishing and defining standards, procedures, and tools in an SQA environment.
• Actively identifies and uses key learning points from daily activities to increase effectiveness.
• Anticipates problems and identifies long term implications of decisions and actions.
• Ability to identify gaps in the available information required to understand a problem or situation and devising means of remedying such gaps.
• Continually pursuing improvements in IS products and services.
